#minimus3Darkestra. What's in the name? 140 characters won't suffice, so let's unpack a bit. Morning rush at Grand Central: shades of Chaplin's Modern Times. The aurora borealis: draperies of heaven. Trailer-trash pigeons, celestial on the wing. A bird's-eye view of Machu Picchu, like mountains on the moon. Towering glaciers collapsing like condemned cathedrals. Stray dogs just getting through the day. Llamas on the roof of the world. Tribal dancers exorcising their demons. Gym rats in dance class, exercising their booties. The great stone moai of Rapa Nui contemplating the Pacific beneath the circling stars... All this, from the out-of-the-box silent 3D filmmaker Ikuo Nakamura, fused with mellow sounds of live alto sax, kalimba, and vocals by Hayes Greenfield. The doors of perception are open! Very haunting, very cool, and as yet undiscovered by major media. "Concerts" through July 30 at 13th St Repertory Theater, 50 West 13th St., New York, very possibly Manhattan's most intimate arts center. Tickets: 13thstreetrep.org, 212-675-6677
